Kyle Tucker, eh? They're going to get that Twitter account one way or another. :D

Covering the intersection of sports, race, gender and culture? Jesus.

I love when people put on their Twitter bios they cover the intersection of X and Y.

I'm tempted to create a beat generator that takes a random item and combines it with a standard newspaper beat:

"Hello! I cover the intersection of Fortnite and politics."

"Hello! I cover the intersection of Tyson vacuums, persian carpets and sports."

"Hello! I cover the intersection of gender, mason jars, computer monitors and the sound one makes when biting into a ripe apple."

I misread this the first time also, but Ms. Hill is joining The Atlantic, not The Athletic.

Those Tony C. pieces and '67 Red Sox retrospectives are really going to move subscriptions.

I cannot remember the last time Buck has been relevant. Maybe when he came out.

I guess that angry memo didn't work.

It was likely a catalyst. Who'd work with such a petty editor?

You could say that about any Boston columnist other than Shaughnessy.

Was Buck hired on as a freelancer before he was cut at the Herald? I know startups don't survive by handing out sinecures, but I cannot think of any other reason The Athletic would want somebody like Buckley except to give him a landing spot to avoid the public announcement of losing a job.
