You really spend a lot of time worrying about people you claim to want to avoid. That's twice now you jumped in to post nothing about the topic while taking a shot at another poster.

Go back to acting like a jackass on the safe space.

Apparently a man called Collins office in Maine and told the person who answered the phone for her that his daughter was raped last night in Augusta by her boss. He told Collins’ office that after he degraded her he told her that it would be his word against hers and that’s ok with him. And then He said, don’t be late Monday. The father told Collins worker that he won’t let his daughter report it to police because she will be called a liar and a whore.

Cocaine Mitch is saying the Dems have set the Trumpist base afire with enthusiasm. Question: Which side had more protestors in DC?

I am pretty darn liberal. I was not bothered by GW Bush's appointments of Samuel Alito or John Roberts. Sure, I see the law and the constitution differently than they do, but I recognize that a Republican president gets to nominate conservative justices to the Supreme Court. In the same vein, I wasn't particularly bothered by Trump nominating Gorsuch. Yes, that should have been Merrick Garland's seat, but it didn't happen that way and as far as conservative appointees to the Supreme Court go, I could find no quarrel with him.

I am deeply concerned about the effect today's affirmation of Brett Kavanaugh will have on the Supreme Court. For the first time in a long time, the court now has a member who is a partisan through and through. In the eyes of more than half the country, he is an illegitimate appointee. I believe this will open the door for further attacks on the independence of the judiciary as a separate but equal branch.

My hope is that this leads us to reasonable reform of the Supreme Court through a constitutional amendment. I know that's a terrible long shot, but if Kavanaugh's appointment leads us to ending lifetime appointment and putting justices on fixed terms, then in the end, I will be OK with it.

What kind of bullshit is this.? The Senatorial majority did something it very much wanted to do, as happens very often in American politics. There's another election in a month and we'll see how things sort out then for the election two years hence. Nothing lasts forever in American politics. In 2005 The Republicans were a permanent majority. In 2009 the Democrats were supposed to be. If you're just being an asshole, then fuck off, but if you're serious, boy that's stupid.
