I'm not a huge fan of her music, but I heard a radio interview of her several years ago, & she was much more impressive than I had expected - thoughtful & self-aware in talking about her change from country to pop. She's been a top seller for 13 years now, and she reminds me of Madonna in that she seems likely to have success with various musical styles as she ages/matures - something I have trouble imagining, for example, Katy Perry doing.

Meh. I was looking to point out that while some people may hide her in the "guilty pleasure" drawer, she's very big. I just Googled her name and "top ten hits" and pulled one. Hat tip to a better answer.

I think this is generally true.
I have artists I like that other people think suck.
It's my opinion her music blows. But if she gets 50 people to vote then it's a good thing.
