As if that isn't enough, Kayne West was coming in as they were leaving. He is going to talk about prison reform with Trump in a major meeting of minds.

 

Stock selling is intensifying in the 2 o'clock hour. It's 50 /50 whether it intensifies, or holds for now and bounces, but at the moment the volume is picking up to the downside. DOW is down more than 550. Down between 1800 and 1900 points since the high it made last week. I am so glad the idiot in chief tied himself to this market. He has zero control over it.

He is right about one thing with his bullshit. ... monetary conditions were so ridiculously loose under Obama, and Obama got the benefit of that -- a stock market bubble formed and the faux economy was held up by a ridiculous amount of debt creation. Not much of a recovery for it, but at least we didn't get the deleveraging we needed, which would have been better for the country, but worse for the politician in charge. Trump is so stupid that he has been talking non-stop about stock prices and tied himself to their performance. But he walked in as a credit-induced bubble was peaking. It's actually not his fault. ... but he tied himself to it. I hope people keep reminding him.

That tax cut and the bloated budget, and the anticipation on the run up to it, held this off for another year or two. It just tied him to an even bigger bubble.

 

The margin calls just went out. A furious move to the downside a few minutes ago. This is all algorithmic trading now. The risk parity programs. And they all dumped at once. It is going to be an interesting last hour, however it ends for the day.
