She chose to marry Trump. She backed him up on his birther-loon nonsense. Her anti-bullying campaign while she is married to Trump shows that she possesses the self-awareness of a walnut. She is a modern-day Marie Antoinette. She deserves none of the sympathy wide swaths of the nation want to give her, no matter how many looks of scorn and disdain she offers while in the company of her husband.

Only one nit to pick with that. Charo has mad skills. Unlike our First Lady, she's no joke.

Charo was also way way way hotter in her prime. Plastic surgery plus age has unfortunately turned her into a real life Miss Piggy.

Why should we be outraged about this?
Robert E. Lee was a great general. Whatever you think of him fighting for the Confederacy or his legacy as a Southern icon, it doesn't change that fact.
It didn't sound like Trump was going on at length about what a great man Lee was. He was trying to make some analogy between his presidency and the first half of the Civil War, when Lincoln was cycling through a parade of ineffective Union generals before Grant came into the picture. Trump said Lee was "a great general" (true) and then segued into how Lincoln was looking for his own general who would fight and could beat Lee (also true).

Um... Because a president whose administration has been accused of repeated acts of institutional and casual racism, including saying that there were "very fine people" on both sides of a dispute that included actual Nazis, then praising an icon of Confederates sounds more than a little like another one of his wink-winks to his racist asshole supporters.

    I think that's why.

Here's the transcript of the rally, including the Robert E Lee / Ulysses S Grant digression in the Grandpa Simpson last act ramble.

The point of which was what?
