President Trump: The NEW one and only politics thread

It's a topic that's impossible for Warren to win. It's extremely unlikely she's going to, at this point, find solid enough proof to actually shut Trump up. It would take a 100-percent Native American grandparent or maaaaaaybe a great grandparent to shut him up, and even that probably isn't enough. It's not like Trump actually gives a shit what her ancestry is. He's raising doubts about her, both racist ones and non-racist ones, IMO.

The test, to me, answers a lot of the questions about what was a weird story all along. It's close enough to her claim that I don't really have any other questions. But it's trouble for so many other reasons. That she was ever identified as a "woman of color" is a really bad look. And obviously, Trump isn't about to pump the brakes.

I get how she got here. It's an interesting icebreaker story in her family, but that's what it should have stayed.

 

All true.

But there was no good move to make.

So she made this move now, hoping that it pays a dividend two years from now.

Maybe, maybe not.

 

I fail to see what Warren is supposed to have done. Ignore Trump. Depend on the media to get the facts out? I can't help but think a lot of this concern trolling is just another indication that a woman running for President bothers a lot of men, not just Republican men either.

 

Full disclosure, I haven't dived deep into the story..

Seems to me she didn't have it locked down so that she could get in front of anything and control it. The door was open and now Trump controls it.

Did she have a dialogue with leadership of the Cherokee Nation at any point? Did she disclose how they would feel about her testing?

The results, was there any way to dig deeper to firm up the results? I'd guess not, but was there anything else that could've been done in presenting the results?

In 24 hours 1/1024 has become the joke, as Graham proved on FOX this morning.

Control the story you want to tell. Get that groundwork laid upfront. Don't give Trump any openings.

 

If Stormy is to be believed, Trump is always at half mast.

 

I can't for the life of me see the problem either.

 

If one wants to stand out in a super crowded Democratic field in the 2020 primaries, being the candidate Trump attacks the most isn't a bad way to do it.
