Vernon Robinson has been saying and doing nutty things for decades. He's one of those people who is always a perennial fringe candidate for political office and he gets more attention from the media than those candidates usually do because he's a black conservative who managed to get elected to the Winston-Salem city council for a couple of years before voters voted him out for his nuttiness. He actually made Virginia Foxx seem sane in the 2004 Republican congressional primary, which he nearly won. He was Trumpian before we even knew what that meant.

Anyway, I didn't know his reach was now expanding beyond North Carolina's borders, though I suppose I shouldn't be surprised given how his style of politics is now considered acceptable where it wasn't a decade ago.

My biggest pet peeve with these car shows is how they set these ridiculous artificial deadlines and then half the show becomes whether or not they are going to make it. I don't give two shits, I just want to see what they do with the cars and how they do it.

    Humorless liberals don't get it.

It's funny when journalists are assaulted.

    LOLz.

'He's my guy': Trump praises Gianforte for assault on Guardian reporter

In a statement, the Guardian US editor, John Mulholland, said: “The president of the United States tonight applauded the assault on an American journalist who works for the Guardian. To celebrate an attack on a journalist who was simply doing his job is an attack on the First Amendment by someone who has taken an oath to defend it.

“In the aftermath of the murder of Jamal Khashoggi, it runs the risk of inviting other assaults on journalists both here and across the world where they often face far greater threats. We hope decent people will denounce these comments and that the president will see fit to apologize for them.”

I suspect a lot of the work on these shows is really slipshod.

Like 'Trading Spaces,' or other home makeover programs, the premium is on fake deadlines rather than quality of craftsmanship.

I'd hate to be a custom car client at a garage with a television show.

The last time North Carolina got into politics in Arkansas was when Lou Holtz shilled for Jesse Helms and Frank Broyles fired him.

Looks like health care is of great(est) concern, but what Democrats can do about it, even with a slender majority in Congress, I do not know.
