Holy crap. Saga Magazine? Great find, man. As long as you could suspend your disbelief, they were awesome. That was more pure fantasy than anything, and less reliable than Wikipedia or the Weekly World News.

Trump has all but admitted he is playing a character at these rallies. This is not only an audience that won’t fact-check him, they’ll believe the claim and then reject evidence to the contrary as a defensive mechanism. It’s a sales tactic, one that works more often than not.
