Both badly needed refreshes, time off or to turn heel. For business reasons or stubborn ones, WWE management / McMahon ultimately resisted.

Heck, he's not even in the Top 2 from there, with Jake Roberts and Jerry Blackwell.

I agree, Vince is to blame. However, when booked right, Reigns can be entertaining. Just like Cena. For example, Cena vs. Umaga was highly entertaining.

I said a while back that no one in WWE history might benefit more from a prolonged injury than Roman Reigns. Send him away for a few months, repackage him a little bit, let the fans take a break from him.
This wasn't really how I wanted to see that happen, though.

That picture had so much heart in it then, and now again considering Hurricane's link to Roman's older brother.

Rollins was visibly in tears when the Shield embraced. Renee Young flat out said "My husband and Roman..." when it was always loosely alluded to her and Dean being married.

So is the treatment plan for Roman to hit himself with 20 Superman punches and a spear until the cancer goes into remission?

    Ambrose also was very shaken.

Heyman looked near tears in the beginning of his promo, then went into advocate mode.
