I'm not watching. Is there more than one supporter doing this? More than one sign saying this? Photo doesn't indicate it, but it's a small sample size.

DeSantis fans: Think about why it would be so easy for a false flag operation to assembly a loooong list of targets.

I do not believe the bombs were fake. I do not believe Democrats planted them.

I do believe that a lot of people - both well-meaning folks and those who aren't so well-meaning - have no idea what to think about these kinds of things anymore. Scam artists, trolls and catfishers are everywhere. When Sacha Baron Cohen dresses up as fake people to prank real-life politicians (and Ted Koppel), it only diminishes the trust anyone might have. When right-wing news agencies lie about things, it diminishes trust.

We've completely tribalized. Politics did it and the Internet did it and sentimentalism did it. Everything's an emotional ploy now.

Heh. Instead of worrying about "under God," I guess it's time to take "One nation" and "indivisible" out of the Pledge of Allegiance.

Just end it with ". . . for which it stands."

I've covered Flake for years and I don't know what to make of it.

He has been a fairly earnest guy through his career. I think he thinks he's following his conscience. I don't think he's particularly conniving, by political standards.

He acts like a guy who is running for president but that seems like an absolute non-starter. Trumpers hate him. Non-Trumpers hate him for being a reliable Trump vote despite clutching his pearls before each "yes" vote. What's his audience?

    Flake's audience: his family.

But with the way politicians' families have been disavowing their own candidate kin, we can't be sure of it.

I'm pretty sure everyone on the left is above doing any sort of false flag operation.

I imagine it's #neverTrump types like Rick Wilson, David Frum, Bill Kristol et. al. who like the greed but thought xenophobia and racism were just useful tools, not things to fully embrace.
