President Trump: The NEW one and only politics thread

I mentioned this to my wife and she (rightfully) scolded me for making light of a dangerous situation, but how do you feel if you’re an A-list Trump critic and haven’t received a package?

Relief?

Or, is someone such as Alec Baldwin muttering to himself, “What am I? Chopped liver?”

 

This is a very important point that all liberals should keep in mind. (I don't know how to change to blue).

 

On the plus side, the increasing number of package bombs detected makes it more likely the person or persons responsible will be caught. On the minus side, it also makes it more likely one will be undetected and go off.

 

I'm kind of amazed one hasn't gone off. Makes me think Mr. Bright Lights here wasn't much of a bomb builder.

 

I'm not sure he wanted one to go off. The motive may've been just to send a message meant to deter public criticism of Trump. "See what spouting off gets you."

 

I think that's possible. I can't recall seeing pictures of unexploded devices before, at least not so quickly after they were found.

We'll forget about them by this afternoon.

 

I can picture Lena Dunham watching the mail slot of her Williamsburg (or Red Hook?) brownstone walkup and hoping for that envelope to arrive.

Agreed.

Interesting we haven't seen a story yet discussing the viability or build quality of any of these devices. At least I haven't.

It's a lot of bombs to make and transport and deliver in a short period of time without a catastrophic fuck-up.

 

Doesn’t trump’s recent “middle class” tax cut talk almost sound like he’s really saying “that’s a nice little tax cut you have there. Shame if something happens to it if you don’t vote the right way.”

 

Biden secretly wants to be on that list. Keeps him relevant.
