    Journalism is generally much better than it was a generation or two or three ago.

    I grant absolutely that there's more noise too, more bad journalism.

    But to say that journalism in general is worse, is incorrect.

    That people get to see the sausage being made in real time may make it seem so, but that impression is incorrect.

    Maybe the electoral college needs to go, but it is what it is. If the Stein voters in Michigan, Wisconsin and Pennsylvania voted for Clinton, she would be President now.
    Given that the system we have is binary, the people who couldn't get over Bernie not getting the nomination were cutting off their nose to spite their face. Maybe ranked voting would be a good idea in the future, but we won't get that if we don't vote in people who can make those changes now.
    Despite polls saying he would have beaten Trump, I think the Republicans would have eaten him alive. And I don't think the party could have just decided to disregard the primary results and say "We're going with him because it looks like he has a better chance to win."
