These racist, bigoted nuts really don't care who is President. There were several of these during Obama's tenure. I remember reading explanations that stated having a black President freaked some people out.
Trump can only be held responsible for how he responds to these events. And on that - he's doing miserably.

 

Trump has gone out of his way to kiss up to the white supremacists and anti-semites from the campaign forward. He has retweeted anti-semitic posts and routinely vowed to stop the "globalist bankers" and "cosmopolitans" and "New York elites." Those are all dog-whistles for the Jew-hating "alt-right."

It's absolute bullshit to give him a pass for this stuff. The racists have been completely emboldened by Trump.

 

I'm not giving him a pass on the dog whistles or the hate-mongering - only the linkage between what he's said and the Pittsburgh shooting. The pipe bomb guy? Absolutely. But there were churches shot up during the Obama administration.
The tragedy of it, is that President Trump seems uniquely qualified to communicate with the bigots and racists - and yet he seems to do all of his condemnations with a wink.
