On yet another day where the POTUS calls the press the "enemy of the people," a second suspicious package was intercepted at CNN.

 

But what about Keith Ellison?

I've been to something like fifty countries. Brazil is the only one I would never go back to. In fact, I've refused assignments there. It's the definition of a failed state.

 

I can't help thinking that all of this right-wing violence is occurring while the right has every hall of power in its oily grip. They are so far from powerless, but they feel powerless. When the left or even the centre really do take power, I can't imagine the violence becoming less.

As I've said often, I'm no Trump fan but I didn't see a quote from him in there that indicated he had anything against Jewish people. And also, as has been pointed out often, his daughter is married to a Jewish guy. Some facts that seem to escape you people.

 

He may not.

But when he talks about "globalists," promotes "George Soros is behind the caravan" conspiracy theories and proudly says "I am a nationalist" then he's certainly cosplaying as somebody who does.

 

I knew another guy from Queens. His daughter was married to a liberal/hippie. This guy hated liberal hippies. He called his son-in-law "meathead."

 

When he simply replaced the words Jew and Jewish with media and globalists, it gave him just enough cover to turn hate speech into a stump speech that even mainstream Republicans clapped along with.

 

There have always been "good" Jews embraced by anti-Semites.
