Trump will visit Pittsburgh Tuesday, Peduto says he won't appear with him

“All attention [Tuesday] should be on the victims,” Mr. Peduto told reporters in Downtown. “We do not have enough public safety officials to provide enough protection at the funerals and to be able, at the same time, [to] draw attention away to a potential presidential visit.”

 

I hope the mayor told the SS (bloody ironic initials, that) to piss up a rope.

 

I really don't know much about Peduto except to assume he is a Democrat because all Pittsburgh mayors are Democrats, but this story does make me feel like my hometown is in good hands.

At some point, a fuck-up is so colossal as to defy reason or explanation or Occam.

This is one of those times.

I mean, no Vice Presidential staff could be this ignorant and/or stupid. Could it?

 

Is this seriously what the fuck we're arguing about? The Vice President just prayed for Republicans up for re-election -- cause, you know, those are the people who really need our prayers right now -- and had to be goaded back onto the stage to say something about 11 dead Jews. It's like when I was at the Pitt-Penn State game and two dudes started fighting and screaming shit and an old woman yelled, "language!" at them. Right, lady, it's the word "fuck" that's the problem, not that these two are bloodying each other. Or even better, when they're showing smartphone video from inside a school shooting and you clearly hear screams and gunfire and just brutal horror....but we're gonna' bleep out the cursing so some fatty in Topeka isn't offended.

We have some jacked up priorities in this country.
