Do you really think you have to talk to me about priorities right now? Some asshole just walked into the synagogue I attended in my old neighborhood, yelled that all Jews must die and murdered 11 people. I may not live there any more, but that was home. The last time I was in that building, I was holding my infant daughter at her baby naming. By the way, that was a baby naming going on Saturday when that murdering piece of shit started shooting. I have been consumed for days by all the ways that event was horrifying. It wasn't just an attack on those people. It was an attack on a place I still consider home. It was an attack on Jewish people in general. It was an attack on our society, too. If we can't be safe in a house of worship, where can we be safe?

President Trump's response has been disgusting. Pence's was even worse. I don't think for a second it was a stupid mistake or a matter of being tone deaf. I think he doesn't give a damn. I think his priority is pushing politics and he couldn't care less about 11 dead Jewish people. That sickens me. I'm angry this week in way I'm struggling to explain and the President and Vice President of the United States are only making thing worse.

That doesn't mean I can't call Starman out for his repulsive crap, too. One of the ways we fight back against everything going wrong in this country is to refuse to allow it to bring out the worst in us.

 

You can't bitch about someone's language on an internet message board then have, directly below it, a quote from George Carlin -- a man who literally was arrested for his own free speech. You can have one. You can have the other. You can't have both.

 

The best way we fight against everything going wrong is to call it out. Reject the gaslighting. This is not normal.

The "president" is a diseased pervert who either fucks his daughter (who apparently is ok with the arrangement) or at the very least, certainly wants to.

Most civilized people would never allow a pig like that in their house. They have to be reminded that he is, in fact, a pig like that. Get him out of our house.

 

From what I've read, Pence's people did not pick him, the local candidate he was stumping for did. Won't matter, Pence will be taking the black eye for it.

 

Yeah, this is a transparent attempt to gin up support from the base right before an election that has them scared. Trump has to be worried about what might come out when the Dems take the House.

 

Unless the Supremes let it go. I really don't think that Roberts will be able to stomach that, if only because it means the next Democratic President would have the same power.

Sorry, but that's bullshit. Profanity has it's place, but that place isn't everywhere. Repulsive shit like what Starman posts has its place, but that place isn't everywhere. I'm not trying to ban Starman. I'm not saying he should be arrested or punished in any way. I'm not saying he doesn't have the right right to post what he posts. I'm saying that it is repulsive and I believe it makes things here worse.

Freedom of speech doesn't mean freedom from criticism for your speech. I'm fairly certain Carlin understood that. He just didn't give a damn if people criticized him for the things he said.

So yes, I can absolutely have both things because they are not contradictory.

Yes, we call it out, but we can do it better. I call it out all the time. So do others here. We just don't do it in the disgusting manner than you so often choose.

Write about what he is doing wrong. Call him Fucko all you like. Focus on the ways he is hurting this country. He is talking about circumventing the Constitution of the United States. He and his vice president are botching the reaction to the shooting in Pittsburgh. Those are the things that matter.

Your theories about his perversions are disgusting and irrelevant. You think there is anybody left who doesn't realize he is at least a pervert and possibly something far worse by now? Clearly, that shit isn't going to be what gets him out of office.
