There it is. Illegal immigrants are an "invasion."

I'm *sure* he won't try to extend that to the ones already here...

I have a cooler that will hold 70 beers and ice for days. Some day, I'm taking it to Kentucky.

If Trump defies an order of the Supreme Court, he destroys the Republican Party. What was the point of packing the courts if they have no power? Any future Democratic President could do the same. The underlying assumption on all these posts is that constitutional democracy is over and there will never be another change of power by peaceful means. If you really believe that, then you ought to be picking up your copy of the DuPont Blaster's Handbook (widely available in the Wilmington, Del. of my youth) and buying Ar-15s. Or you're just posing in the liberal despair pose so useful throughout history.

Have you *met* this Supreme Court?

They've finally finished cramming 5 on there who will defer to Presidential power on anything and everything they can.

Maybe. Or maybe, because they're beyond the power of Republican primary voters, they will vote to defend their own powers above those of the Presidency and Congress.

The smoking crater where the Voting Rights Act used to be says hi.

We're not at the end of Constitutional Democracy yet. Just tip-toeing up to it.

I'm 100% certain that Trump would install a Putin-style air-quotes "democracy" if he could get away with it. I have watched the Republican Party stand by and let him get away with anything and everything he wants to date, so while I'm not 100% certain, I'm not exactly counting on them to notice the temperature on the boiling frog going up on any one individual degree. He doesn't have to declare himself Dictator for Life. They've got the power to write the voting rules and the courts to back them up on it. A gerrymander here, a few DMV closures there, a pinch of registration purges, and you can lock yourself in to 53-47 wins in perpetuity.

There are children in concentration camps already. The President is obviously a Russian asset, witting or not, and has committed a list of felonies so long that it would be hard to type them all out. The President is talking about openly nullifying a plainly worded section of the Constitution, and he's even got *Democratic* senate candidates (Donnelly in Indiana) agreeing to look into it.

Look around you. We're already there.
