President Trump: The NEW one and only politics thread

Vukmir is a truly horrific individual and one of the most unlikable candidates I can remember. OTOH Baldwin may be the most liked politician in Wisconsin at the moment and that surprises me a bit. A very liberal lesbian yet she has a double digit lead in polling. I think people sense that she genuinely cares about her constituents. perhaps things will be closer on Tuesday but Tammy is kicking her ass and I love it.

 

Somewhere along the way, the GOP stopped trying to appeal to Americans and focused 100 percent of their policies on their most vocal base. It's resulted in a party that wouldn't even recognize itself if it looked in a mirror.

Dems always seem to be asking the GOP "does this policy make me look too liberal?" while the GOP doesn't care one whit about anyone outside their base, forcing everyone else to react to them and then labeling the disagreement (however justified) as politically motivated.

Everyone figured Trump was a loudmouth blowhard. That the rest of the GOP allows his rants to be put into action is a betrayal of their oath of office.

EDIT: I want to be clear I don't fall into the 'he's not my president' crowd.

He is my president. He holds the office and I'm a US citizen. For the record, my wife is not a US citizen.

Point is, not all Americans support him politically, that's where I fall in.
