But are Democrats using him to get out the vote? Does he currently hold office? Has he ever held office?
Now let's compare his stature to your guy Steve King, whose ring every GOP POTUS hopeful must kiss because he's from Iowa. Or Matt Gaetz. Or DeSantis.

Would somebody explain to me why Farrakhan is suddenly in the conversation? I assume I must have missed some instance of his running for office or some such action? A friend of mine coached his grandson(?) in college hoops about 10 years ago and that is the last time I heard or thought about him. WTF?

I'm baked as fuck right now, but I am pretty confident about Tuesday night, and I hope many can be, too.
Remember my friends, the real mucho bad hombres have never won in the history of the country.

Technically no. He didn't formally endorse, just praised a lot. He said:

"He is the only member who has stood in front of the Jewish community and said 'I don’t want your money. Any time a man can say to those who control the politics of America, ‘I don’t want your money,’ that means you can’t control me. And they can’t afford to give up control of the presidents of the United States.”

I meant it how I said it. All Democrats need to stop taking pictures with him. They need to reject him. That they haven't rejected him strongly enough does not make them anti-Jewish any more than having two co-workers who are Trump supporters makes me a Trump supporter.

This is some folks on the right trying ignore degree and subtlety because they have trouble with such concepts and because those concepts make their side look bad.

Showing up in a picture with an anti-Jewish man is not the same thing as saying there were very fine people on both sides in Charlottesville. It is not the same as President Trump using hateful rhetoric to connect with the worst, most racist elements of his base. It is not the same as rejecting ideas of acceptance that are fundamental to this country for the sake of political power. It is not the same as turning up the dial on fear of immigrants and then acting like you give a damn when those fears gave a murderer a nudge in the very wrong direction.

I've been denouncing Louis Farrakhan for decades. Very early in my newspaper career, I worked with a photographer who was incompetent. He was constantly missing assignments or screwing up in one way or another. He also had a history of crying racism if he got in trouble at previous jobs. Then one day that idiot wore a t-shirt to work with Farrakhan on it. I didn't see the shirt, but heard about it later. That same day, I made an unkind comment about Farrakhan being a bigot. In a panic, one of our assistant news editors shushed me. He was terrified of an issue with human resources, and I think that has been the problem with many Democrats for years. They are afraid to shove Farrakhan away too forcefully for fear of appearing to be racist.

So no, you don't have to tell me about considering people who are anti-Jewish. (I know even the dictionary defines it as anti-semitism, but the term is not accurate. Not all Semites are Jewish). I know which side is pandering to the bigots right now, even if they aren't all bigots themselves.

Because every time he speaks everyone screams "Jesus Christ?"

Here is an interesting take by New York Times opinion writer Bari Weiss, who had her Bat Mitzvah at Tree of Life Synagogue in Squirrel Hill. She addressed anti-Jewish ideas on both sides.

How did your story resolve itself?

I thought I would be facing an uncomfortable meeting the following work day, but I never heard another word about it. The photographer lasted another month or two before he finally left. I honestly don't remember if he quit or they finally got sick enough of him screwing up that they stopped caring who he whined to about what.
