He sounds like a half-assed, wannabe mobster talking about "the embrace."

To be fair on the dead pimp, there was nothing they could do. The ballots were already out for early voting when he passed away and the law says a republican will be appointed in his place. So if you want the seat to stay republican, you don't have a choice. The other stuff, yeah, that's a big problem.

The "200 reporters in the room" is exactly the reason that he doesn't give up the mic and keeps pressing forward with his questions, since it's likely the only chance he'll get to ask them.

That said, Acosta does ask some long-winded fricken questions. Get to the point, Jim.

Why was Acosta called upon if Trump didn't want to pick one of his usual media bitch fights for his followers?
I use the noun followers because that is exactly what they are.

I never advocated a change to apportionment. I said it bears no logic in 2018, like many things.
Historically there has been an argument for The People 'recalling' inept senators- now I like that idea very much.
If there's only two of you fucks then you are held to a higher standard, as the Senate was designed to be the austere chamber.

An old black nurse fed me by hand when I was briefly hospitalized as a young man.
Like she was my own mama.
I've never forgotten it, never will.

My co-worker also said Acosta's behavior wouldn't be tolerated at a sports press conference.

    Really?

Trump used him to make a point after Monday's gushfest with Hannity and Rush. He's into conflict like that, setting up a situation where it looks like he always wins.

HanSenSE, I have to say, I've never seen a prez that visibly, publicly angry in my 40-plus years.
He was actually hissing at moments of the press conference.
He's a nasty little freak but today it was unsettling.

Watch the replay of the Acosta incident.

The "intern" comes SPRINTING down the aisle before Acosta even really starts talking.

The whole thing was a setup. Lil Miss Intern was undoubtedly under orders to tumble backward to the floor if Acosta actually did exert any force to keep the mike.

I do think the situation with Acosta has devolved to the point where CNN isn't serving their audience continuing to trot Acosta out there. Move him somewhere else. Sure, every administration has a "Sam Donaldson" type reporter they end up using as a pinata and the reporter uses it as "cred" for their career - but isn't the point to inform the audience? Acosta has become a wrestling foe to Trump. Any points he makes, or stories he breaks are colored by the relationship with Trump - rightly or wrongly.
