I think accountability is a byproduct of answers and truth. The media can't impeach Trump. Somebody else has to do that.

I've just long been attracted to sobriety in news. I'm a reporter. I'm skeptical of emotional appeals and grandstanding. I think it distracts us from the truth more often than it points to the truth. I see it being twisted on one side of the aisle for wicked purposes, and I see it being twisted on the other side for emotional leverage. To what end? I don't trust that end. I see a left in America that will use every awful thing Trump did to justify ever level of cultural control it desires in the name of preventing another Trump. I reject both extremes.

So, if one's way more important, shouldn't the quality of the journalist's work in a press conference be that much more scrutinized?

(FWIW, I do not think political reporters have a more important job. Good thing, too. Many of them are average - at best.)

You think covering the middle east and a cross country meet have the same level of importance?

poor coverage of the middle east has never cost anyone a scholarship

No. But, of course, the Middle East and cross country aren't equally important relative to politics and sports, are they?

How about covering Middle East vs. covering Larry Nassar, Michigan State and USA gymnastics? We in the same ballpark now?

Oh, Ted, you keep being you

Conservative rocker Ted Nugent wants Michigan to know he's highly displeased with the midterm election results.

After Michiganders ushered in a wave of Democrats on Tuesday — including Gov. Gretchen Whitmer, Congresswoman Rashida Tlaib, Attorney General Dana Nessel and Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson — the controversial singer took to Facebook to log his complaints.

"Real God country family Michiganiacs are heartbroke that more of us want the once great state of Michigan to turn into a California s*******. Downright insane cultural suicide. Thanks for nothing a*******," he wrote, in apparent reference to California's liberal politics.

Ted Nugent calls Michigan a 'California s***hole' after election

What's new on the caravan? Any 5-year-olds brandishing a toy golf club?
And where is the fat dumpy oaf today? It must be executive time.
