Thought this was an interesting rejoinder to the Tucker Carlson stuff. I think what happened last night was wrong, especially given that his wife was the only one home, and it's lucky that his kids weren't there, because that would have been seriously messed up. But Carlson is a hateful fucker, and when you're a hateful fucker, at some point, someone's gonna hate you back.

The sad thing about the Carlson deal is I'm fairly certain he thinks he's just doing "a show." And Trump is just doing "politics" - without any consideration of the damage they are doing to the country or its people. They don't mind people being outraged - they see it as proof they are "winning." Only when it comes knocking on the door, or they are asked to leave a restaurant does it register. And even then, they don't understand it. The DC circus is just a big game to them.

Colorado has been going blue for a while. Dems took over the State Senate and will probaby add to their margin in the State House. Won the governorship (for some unknown reason Dems have controlled that 36 of the last 44 years anyway) and the Secretary of State for the first time in 60 years.

Basically Jefferson and Arapahoe County, which comprise about 20% of the state population has been going increasingly blue. Last night Polis, the governor, who is a gay from Boulder, won both by double digits. Given the huge margins Dems roll up in Denver and Boulder County there are not enough Republicans left in Colorado to win state wide.

As someone who parents were Democratic precinct committee chairs in the 70's I would have thought Ho Chi Min would have been elected governor of Colorado before a liberal gay from Boulder would have.

As with all white nationalist Trump cultists, Tucker can dish it out, but cannot take it.

I agree that no one should be made to feel unsafe in his own home, but he's reaping the hate and incitement to violence he's sown.

The average age for members of Congress will be a decade younger in 2019 following the midterms. I suspect this bodes ill for the 2020 candidacies of Biden, Sander, and yes, Warren. There are lot of voters in the Gee-Moddy no more olds caucus.

Well, if the Democrats want to guarantee Trump gets re-elected, they should definitely nominate Elizabeth Warren.

It’s like when Bush was reeling in 2004 and the best the Democrats could come up with was John Kerry, because it was “his turn.”

Kerry actually slightly outperformed the fundamentals in 2004. He wasn't a fantastic candidate, but he wasn't a poor one, either.
