President Trump: The NEW one and only politics thread

I don't think he resigns before 2020, but I am starting to think fairly seriously that he won't run again.

 

To me: This says less about Trump and more about the people who voted for him.

I mean ... you hear the words and the half truths and easily disproved lies coming out of mouth. You think that’s how a not-idiot conducts themself?

 

So much winning: -35 seats in the House. Biggest losses for a republican since Ford in the aftermath of Watergate in 1974.

 

Adjusted for the economy it's the worst GOP political loss in a century.

 

By the time the next convention rolls around, the man will be 74 years old, likely no lighter than he is now, and will be showing in even more detail the toll that holding the office has taken on him. I wouldn't be shocked if his health prevents him from running. I wonder how much of the disinterest discussed in the LA Times piece is a result of the man just being old and tired (on top of being really fucking petulant and awful).

 

He'll never give in. Too combative and contemptuous.
