    It is one of the worst and laziest traditions of political reporting that "played a sport" is almost always described as "sports star" in candidate biography pieces. If Nathan Peterman ever runs for office, some reporter will make it sound like he was Joe Montana.

    I get what you are saying. But this doesn't bother me so much. I played football when I was in high school. It would be ridiculous to have called me a sports star. A guy who suited up for a Big Ten school for three years? It's a bit more fair to me, even if he wasn't the biggest standout. It's still major D1 football.

    Or it could just be what @Webster said. He never pissed on Hayden Fry.

    First off, @Cosmo said Fox News. I responded to THAT assertion. What does Trump have to do with that? Secondly, they can’t carry weapons while there. They are there to set up barricades, barbed wire, things like that. They have MP’s whose only job is to protect them.

    Seeking asylum is a legal issue. The military, sans MP’s, are not law enforcement officers. Concluding they are sent out of fear shows you don’t know what you are talking about.

    Somewhat too late, it has occurred to the conservative legal community that the tool they used to dominate the courts, Donald Trump, is all too likely to defy the judicial branch and thanks to his domination of congressional Republicans, to get away with it, thereby rendering decades of hard work completely moot the next time a Democrat wins the White House.
