President Trump: The NEW one and only politics thread

This is a looming issue. In my city, the various small municipalities line up to induce companies and stores to move into their city limits by paying them subsidies and lowering taxes, cannibalizing others in the area. My community lost a Walmart which moved a mile down the road into a new Super Walmart store for such inducements. It hammered our tax base. Add in that the Sam's inside our city limits was closed and it has really hurt the town's finances. Now add to that kind of problem that these corporations want to pay taxes on open, busy, and profitable stores as though they were closed? The bad part is that someone will take them up on it, figuring that 30% of a store is better than no store. Short sighted as hell, and Walmart and the like have the deep pockets to pay attorneys and lobbyists to make it happen.

That's the real key point here. People serving in the military aren't the only ones who should be evaluating President Trump's behavior when it relates to the military. He's got a baked-in advantage with people in the military. This entire tangent was yet another one of those distractions YankeeFan loves to use when President Trump does something he can't defend.

If they support him because they signed up to fight and they want a Commander in Chief who will let them fight, they shouldn't be in the military.
