    I disapprove of writers who never check their content, in sports when an error occurs a ref or monitor calls foul.

    I do wish more newspapers/media outlets would hire people who could edit copy. We could call them copy editors. My guess is they would be too expensive. Writers could do it just fine. After the finish Tweeting, updating Facebook, taking photos and turning a story around for the website 10 minutes after the game ends they'll have plenty of time to proof read copy. It would save a bunch of money the media companies can use to pay executive salaries.
