President Trump: The NEW one and only politics thread

So my objection to newly evangelical anti-Trump converts like Max Boot (and Bill Kristol) is "where have you been for the last 40 years?" - as the post-Reagan / Tea Party / idiot wing of the GOP lurched farther and farther right until it carried the whole party over the cliff at last, led by a fake-billionaire reality show host and lowercase Mussolini wannabe.

 

Thought the name was a joke, but ... no.
If that place has Slurpees, grab a Coke instead.

 

He's a germaphobe, he's not going anywhere near an undeveloped nation.
His phobia is why a prison term would be especially delicious for him.

You have a much more generous view of it than I do.

I think it's too little too late, and that both are simply trying to salvage their careers/reputations.

Neither has done a lick of atonement for leading the party to where it finds itself. Both were happy to let the droolers and mouthbreathers run the GOP off the road as long as Establishment Republicans could hide behind the pretense of High Church Conservatism.

The time to ask for Dr. Frankenstein's help is before he makes the monster. Not after.

 

Name a New Yorker who ISN'T a second-guesser. Or third or fourth-guesser.
