Apropos of nothing, but Espy’s son (also named Mike) was a really good wide receiver at Ole Miss during the Eli Manning years.

 

That a particularly awful and stupid thing to say. Yeah, she's made mistakes. Why, in your mind, is it not possible to learn and grow from it? And don't fucking give me anything about Trump. He's never learned or grown in any way.

Maybe, just maybe, let her get sworn in and get to work before you call her an idiot. All the shit directed at this woman feels completely sexist.

The Right is obsessed with her.

 

Espy is a good candidate and congressman, and Smith is a god damn trainwreck, but she's still going to win by double digits. Unless she burns a cross on in her yard before next Tuesday. Then she'll probably only squeak out a four- or five-point victory.

 

That's all?

 

It's a low bar I know.

 

That won't cost her any Trump voters.

 

Hyde-Smith has a history as a Democrat. This is not being spoken of much, not being mentioned by many many people.
