He had a lazy bat and was an inconsistent hitter at best but Aurelio Rodriguez was as good as anyone defensively
When he was with the Tigers he could field a ground ball and hold it a couple of counts because he knew with his arm he’d throw anyone out

Is everyone leaving Alex Rodriguez off the list of best 3Bs because of PEDs?

Or they consider him a shortstop first. I hope that’s it.

With the turn the thread took, it's worth saying that I spent a portion of my childhood, early teens, whenever it was, fascinated by not only Garth Iorg, but Dane Iorg. If there had only been one Iorg, I suppose he might have slipped past the radar screen of a kid growing up in the NY suburbs. I certainly didn't get to see either play that much. But the fact that there were two Iorgs, the names made me think of Viking ships for some reason, and every pack of baseball cards was obligated to have at least one of them in it, it made them as much a part of my childhood as my beloved Evel Knieval Stunt Cycle.

They may be, but he played more than half his career at 3B.

The Tigers made Cale Iorg, son of Garth, a high draft pick and he was a huge flop. Couldn't hit a lick.
