    I want to point out that Batman gives us a fine picture of strategic voting. He and other Mississippi Republicans who voted for Espy have made it more likely they'll get their wish and Hyde-Smith will be primaried in 2020 by a candidate or candidates they find more acceptable. Running the weakest race by a Republican in decades makes her a big target for other ambitious Republicans.

    That's YOUR belief, and YOU believe YOU are right. We ALL believe we are right, that's why we believe what we believe. You base your premise on YOUR subjective belief YOU are right. And just as you believe I am forcing my beliefs on others, YOU do the exact same thing. YOU believe certain guns are bad and should be outlawed, you want to deprive me of MY right to own certain guns because YOU believe YOU are right.

    And actually no, I don't have those premises wrong at all. You do believe 1) a woman has a right to an abortion; and 2) certain guns should be outlawed. Both of those are based on what YOU think is right.

    I continued to be amazed by the report that Trump did not reappoint Janet Yellen to chair the Fed because he thought she was too short for the job.

    By not forcing behavior on people I'm forcing my beliefs on those people? You really have a troubling relationship with logic.

    Also, you do realize that gun regulations aren't all about which guns can be sold, right? They can involve thing such as longer mandatory waiting periods, licensing for gun owners and other measures that don't put any restriction on which gun you can buy.

    This country's laws already tell us some guns cannot be owned. Are you seriously arguing that people should be able to buy whatever gun they want with no restrictions at all?

    I'm amazed, too. The data (and this is data that is more rigorous than the data the data-dependent Fed uses to come up with its bullshit) clearly shows that the taller the Fed president, the less likely he or she is to monetize debt for politicians' benefit. Paul Volker was 6' 7". Nuff said. If anything, Trump should have ditched Yellen and found someone 3'4" for the job. That person could have launched QE4 to keep the party going. ... because it's not as if the roof that's on fire on the party house is going to burn the country down or anything. Just just keep partying, and maybe it won't be a problem until a new president gets stuck taking all of the blame from a clueless public.
