Is there any chance the timing of things right now is pretty straightforward?

    1) Trump gives his written answers. Suppose they know he lied about something.

    2) They have Michael Cohen lined up to plead guilty to lying about the same thing to Congress. ... Days later, he shows up in court to plead. Basically getting the opposite of what Trump has now sworn to on the record as the truth according to Cohen.

    3) They now have Trump lying to investigators in at least one instance, and possibly others, and they are going to corroborate it beyond Michael Cohen.

I mean, putting aside the "follow the money" narrative that connects Trump to Russia, could it be way more simple?

    George Clooney as Mueller.
Biff Tanner as Fucko the Klown.
    Adam Sandler as Cohen.
    Rosie O'Donnell as SHS.

Donald can't keeping doing this to them, can he? If he backs off tariffs he basically admits he made a a mistake, and we all know that shit don't fly with Donald.

Maybe he'll drop the tariffs after meeting with the Chinese in BA, claim VICTORY and walk away?

"This affects my family each day,” Mr. Knopf said. “Some days, I just think I need to — golly, I need to trust what he’s doing,” he said of the president. “Other days, I think, ‘Golly, I wish this would be over.’”

“The president keeps calling us farmers great patriots and keeps asking us to trust him and says that we’re going to end up with a better deal,” Mr. Knopf said. “That is in the back of farmers’ minds. But at the same time, we can only do this for so long.”

Mr. Trump sent out an early-morning Twitter post on July 24 that “Tariffs are the greatest!”

Tariffs are the greatest! Either a country which has treated the United States unfairly on Trade negotiates a fair deal, or it gets hit with Tariffs. It’s as simple as that - and everybody’s talking! Remember, we are the “piggy bank” that’s being robbed. All will be Great!

Later that day, the administration announced $12 billion in emergency relief for farmers.

“It’s nice that the administration has recognized that this is having an impact on our local pricing,” Mr. Knopf said. “On the other hand, any farmer will tell you we’d much rather have markets that are open and fair.”
