My preference would be for the GOP senators to grow spines and convict him after the House impeaches him. Not holding my breath.

On the ground, that sort of thing is usually parsed out as, "Ah'm jus' bein' awnist!"

Y'all do you. I enjoy the discourse. But I prefer to think I'm nicer than Donald Trump. No high horses here, either. The bar is too low for that and anyway, my fat butt sits quite comfortably on a proverbial Welsh pony as I type this.

I should have added I leave next week to spend the holidays with my daughter in France. That three pound loss won't last long.

The NC state race is looking like a crazy story. While it doesn't surprise me the Republicans are fucking people of color this is nuts even by their standards.

I'm pretty sure somebody connected to that North Carolina race is going to prison.
N.C. didn't show itself well after the last election when the lame duck state congress stripped powers from the incoming Democrat governor.
Now, Wisconsin is trying to take a page from the playbook.

Partisan politics aside, stuff like this really makes me sad for our country.
