That was a tag team act to get Trump to act exactly as he did. They got what they wanted from that meeting and then some.

 

Meanwhile, Agent Orange again succeeds in distracting from the real news that he has been linked to felony crimes.

 

I don't think so. And surely a presidential threat to shut down the government is also real news.

 

The thing is, in a typical administration, there is always a plan B plus there are a bunch of old hands who can be called on as a stopgap if a favored choice has to pull out. But here, everything is done on the fly and none of the 41 or 43 veterans want anything to do with Trump.
