President Trump: The NEW one and only politics thread

Don't hint that the Dems are weak or slow, though. Your Republicans are fucking up everything they touch.

 

That's obviously part of it, too. Republicans had a chance these past two years, for better or worse, to implement an agenda and run with it. To prove once and for all that everything they've been selling for the last 10 years was the right path to be on. It was an opportunity that doesn't come around often and, frankly, might not come around again.
And, because they couldn't or wouldn't find a way to do it, they've pissed that opportunity away.
Now the Democrats will eventually get the same opportunity, whether it's in 2020, 2024 or 2028. I'm a bit fearful of when it happens because there's a lot of anger and venom coming from that side of the aisle, particularly among the up-and-comers. A lot of policies and attitudes on things like free speech that scare the ever-living shit out of me that they'll have a chance to enact into law.
The best we can hope for is that our new Democrat overlords are fair and just. I'm skeptical, at this point, that any party holding all the levers of power can put aside the bullshit long enough to do much of anything positive for the country.

 

Yeah, that would be nice. But, again, the Republicans had such golden opportunities, and they sold out everything.

I hope the Democrats don't let power corrupt themselves so blatantly and completely as the GOP has done.

 

It's an embarrassing answer to a despicable proposition: Something bad happened under the reign of the mooslim neegro, so anything the God Emperor does now is okay.

 

There are probably no more than eight Republican senators who would resist a call to dump trump if the word came down from on high (the Kochs, Murdoch, the Mercers) - the rest would fall in line and suddenly start talking up Pence, maybe even call Trump a victim, but require him to shove off in order to keep the GOP agenda afloat.

 

I'm not sure liberal do-gooders are the real problem here.

 

It’s not going to hit home for the GOP until Jared and the Trump children are served indictment papers and more damaging court papers come out on Agent Orange himself. Shoot, I wonder how much legal exposure Melania has as the wife of a potential felon.

 

Here we go. If something big breaks today, as many expect, should kick us over 10,000 pages.
