This is a really good story. Definitely worth the read—as much for the stuff on Burnett as Trump.

 

Our resident Trump supporter is much like Trump himself. He projects his insecurities on others and it makes him feel better for them. He's a college dropout and semi-literate who calls other people dummies. He's had several "careers" and repairs coffee machines for a living and yet makes fun of people for their own career turns. He's an Internet addict who spends most of his life online but tries to call other people bad husbands and fathers.

He's like every other racist out there—weak as shit—so he comes here to try to feel what it is to be strong.

 

The bedrock of the base is failure.
The sad thing is this is the best shit is ever going to be for them.

 

And they're still so scared and unhappy that they need to build a wall against the rest of the world.

not against the rest of the world, they fear house maids, landscapers, little children and taco trucks. they fear that uneducated people who don't speak the language will work hard and within 1 generation children of immigrants will out perform and out earn their children, They oppress blacks so they don't have to look up at them, their fear successful women, they fear education and hard work. They can't be a success so they deny the opportunity for success to others.

And they put up a false choice, a borderless country. No one is in favor of that. but they fear they will fall further and further behind. Just look at who his biggest supporters are, white christians whose families have been dirt farmers and blue collar workers for 100 years or more and can't make it in country towns of Tennessee, Kentucky, Alabama, Georgia, Mississippi, Ohio, Michigan, Pennsylvania, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Missouri... generation after generation of high school losers

 

Any chance the steep market swings are being manipulated - or are the result of manipulation? Honestly - these kind of swings in a slow period (no quarterly reports, major mergers etc) is kind of odd yes? Figure if it was the result of the Dems winning the House it would all be in one direction.
