My state has open primaries. The GOP establishment is pushing for closed primaries because they know people are planning to vote strategically.
I grow more and more disgusted every day being surrounded by hypocritical bible thumpers and pillbillies.

 

Understand something. The President controls the party, he's the head of it while President. He's already raised millions for PACs and I really don't know if anyone should expect the grassroots activists should show any more backbone than elected Senators and Representatives in DC.

 

I was a lifelong Republican, too. Until Fox TV. No real journalist can put up with that shit.

 

Don't understand the various pile-ons of various prospective Dem candidates. I figure the more people, the more voices, the better. One of the reasons it went bad for the party in 2016 is people didn't feel they had much of a choice. Let's have those conversations. Let's see which candidates are able to motivate people to spend hours of their own time to go door to door. Me? I want to hear about issues, plans and see someone who can connect with as much of the party as possible.
