It continues to be uncanny how the mix of theoretical ideals of freedom, “rules are rules” and “sure I agree in theory but not enough to change the rules” always leads to the status quo being protected.

But you can look forward to 20 hours a day of MSM (FoxNews Vlogs Podcasts Blogs half a dozen cable news channels) coverage worshipping his prodigious ability to earn money and pay huge sums in taxes. Even if it’s a lie you’ll believe it, because you want to

Ignorance is the hallmark of conservatives American politics and policy. No reason you should be exempt.

Market down big this morning, thanks to Apple's troubles in China.

Waiting for @poindexter or @TigerVols to point this out, so we'll know we've reached the day's low.

Small Paul Cryin’ Ryan, as the “President” calls him, is no longer the Speaker of the House.

Has his party learned anything that will keep the same fate from befalling Mitch in two years?

I have no idea what the answer to Donald Trump's finances is. But the long NY Times story a few months ago was pretty enlightening. In 2004, according to the story, Trump bullshitted his siblings into selling off his dad's real estate holdings, when he really needed the cash, and that netted him a new stake. 2004 was also the first season of the Apprentice, and that actually helped him establish his name as a brand that he was suddenly able to license for a lot of money. At the same time, in that low interest rate environment, he was able to borrow a ton of money.

I am not saying that there isn't anything shady in his finances. In fact, I'd bet there is. He is a dishonest asshole who would cheat anyone in his way for a dime. And if you delve into many of his licensing deals, I would bet with certainty that you are going to find unethical, dishonest and outright illegal behavior. But I don't think he's ever really been broke. His dad was the gift that has kept giving straight into today.

If Mitch doesn't make it as Majority Leader for two more years, by whatever cause, I'd be happy.

If things are so great in the country, why is Small Paul Cryin Ryan gavel-less today?

In his licensing deals? Where does the opportunity for illegal behavior even exist in a licensing deal?
