Out# has always had a sham premise
Four babes on the couch (except for the repulsive Lisa Montgomery aka Kennedy)
    One guy
In the rare case they have a Democrat, they all gang up on her or him
But it gives Fox an opportunity to have five conservatives most of the time
The only one outnumbered on that show was Obama, then Hillary, now Pelosi

The first one will be "The President of the United States."

I think it's a safe bet that it won't be true SOTU speech as much as him giving one of his rally speeches and trashing Democrats.

Senate kills Bush immigration reform bill | Reuters

But the president was unable to overcome fierce opposition from fellow Republicans who said it was an amnesty that rewarded illegal immigrants. A majority of Republicans in the House of Representatives also opposed the Senate bill.

Absolutely true in my experience. Also true there's a lot of tension among native individuals and tribes for identifying lineage and background.

I thought this piece addressed pretty fairly some oversights in the coverage of Elizabeth Warren.

That's why I think the piece on Elizabeth Anderson is very much worth reading.

    Likewise Anderson herself.

It's not a libertarian polemical on bootstraps.

I personally found the New Yorker piece to be a long walk off a short pier, teasing out her ideas over many words about her life.

Anderson’s ideas are interesting though. I’m not sure it accounts for what we do with people who meet the freedom criteria but insist they do not.

    True enough.

But I'll take a waterlogged profile of the philosopher and her thoughts over no magazine profile at all.

I do think the piece explains the development of her themes and ideas pretty clearly.

As to how we apply those, I don't know. Philosophy always stumbles in practice, and at the level of the individual.
