President Trump: The NEW one and only politics thread

He actually just said former presidents. Never claimed they were us presidents or even living presidents. It is highly likely that trump, in all his brilliance, has learned to converse with the presidents living on the spectral plane.

 

If we were really interested in stopping immigration at our southern border, we'd have arrested the CEOs of Hormel and Armour and Cargill long ago.

That's the deterrent.

The rest is bigotry, ignorance and vaudeville.

 

Trump talks to the media more than any recent President.

 

So, they got statements from former Presidents saying that they did not discuss this with Trump.

Did they ask whether or not they thought barriers on our border worked, and did they get a reply to that question, if asked? If they didn't ask it, why didn't they?

That's an entirely different question --- and an interesting one --- but it's also one that any number of conservative media could ask to our former presidents as well.

When you're trying to discern whether the president is lying, you stick to the lie. "He said he spoke to you about X. DID HE speak to you about X?"

He did not? OK, thank you.

But, I think in this caae, he did it for a purpose, which is actually quite amusing.

Let's get the former presidents on the record. Are they really going to say that barriers on our southern border don't work?

We know they work. Crossings are down where they've been built.

This whole idea that barriers are immoral is absurd, and is strictly a political argument.

 

Looking forward to the next SNL episode cold open which will have the ghost of Roy Cohn appears to Trump in the Oval Office and tells him he will be visited by three ghosts (Millard Fillmore, Andrew Jackson and Andrew Johnson) who will praise his wall shutdown and other policies.
