    Mancin could have switched and won a republican primary.

    If Heitcamp had switched parties immediately after Trump's election, she likely could have too. The Republican party would have backed her.

    Funny that Mr. LeBlanc feels betrayed...when of course the appropriate emotion is "foolish." He's too stupid to run a lemonade stand in this day and age.

    I don't think so. If Manchin could've switched and won, he'd have done so. But he knows his state. Heitkamp wasn't interested in switching, and there's no way she wins the Republican primary. You have to get the political dynamic of small states, like Delaware, where I grew up. There aren't as many elective offices as in bigger states, so the parties are VERY intent on making sure their regulars get them.

    What’s the constitutional provision that allows the president to unilaterally allocate taxpayer money to private business or employ government employees for an unapproved public works project?

    That’s impeachable. He can’t declare war.
