I'm stunned to discover people dislike their highest-paid coworkers. Info like that is why I keep coming back here.

 

Yeah, but look how dirty that chute is. Only clean, beautiful coal!

 

Know-it-alls. Experts. The intellectual elites. Who needs 'em. Anybody can do their jobs. #MAGA

 

To be honest, I really don't want my pilot worrying about payments on a tiny little condo when they're out flying over the Great Plains or the Atlantic.

 

But there are so many other professions that are just as vital and take as much skill that don't tend to produce dickheads.

 

Many of these guys are ex-military and, more specifically, ex-fighter pilots (with the occasional guy flying a cargo plane full of rubber dogshit out of Hong Kong) and that’s where a lot of that ego starts.

One of my best buddies from college had a "God" complex and was so demanding that I'd shake my head and say to myself, "dude lighten up a bit"; well he's a cardio-thoracic (open heart, etc.) surgeon now and yeah, that's the guy I want in there in charge when I'm under the knife. Same with my pilot(s). Let's not pretend their fungible or that we can replace them if we don't like their attitude; sorry that's capitalism at work and I'm okay with that given the alternative.
