I hope the Secret Service can protect him from that horde of terrorists invading our country when he visits the Mexican border.

Or maybe the Mexican president is meeting him there to hand him a check for the wall, just like Fucko promised us throughout his campaign. .

Kudos to the Washington Post for this piece. They'll get some shit for it, but it's an important thing to watch from someone who, IMO, actually means well, but, like some hyper-liberals, falls back on the "I'm just a better person" defense too often.

What might be most problematic about Ocasio-Cortez’s defense, though, is the idea that people should care less about specific facts and more about being “morally right" — as if this is a zero-sum game in which the two can be weighed against one another. She’s practically saying, “Well, maybe I was wrong, but at least my cause is just.”

But this is the slipperiest of slopes — the kind of attitude you can use to justify pretty much anything to yourself. And it also just so happens to be the underlying ethos of the entire Trump presidency.

Can we have a room of experts checking the speech, like the coaches during the CFB championship? "Here's where he bullshits about the wall, see?" "Saw that a mile away!"

I wish the networks wouldn't give him the airtime. Let the cable nets run it, but not the major networks.

Run it on tape delay. When he’s full of shit, run the facts in a graphic on the side.

Remember the long long ago days of 2014:

Why major US TV networks didn't show Obama's immigration address

But maybe in 2014 there weren't caravans of smelly brown people storming the borders to rape our cute white women?

Trump gets better ratings. For the wrong reasons? Yes. But he is unscripted. Other than some lies, you don’t know exactly what you’re going to get. It’s a live political game show, in essence.

Beyond that this: For all the hideous things Trump says about the media, he secretly loves them, his people leak to them constantly, and the media is more esteemed at this moment as a result. It’s very dysfunctional, but it’s the relationship.

Obama’s team condescended to the media in subtler ways. That’s well known.
