I predict that as soon as 2020, our voters will reject this government built on lies and go back to governance by compromise, the only way our country has overcome its problems and survived since 1787.

Will it? Politics have become sports for supposed intellectuals and Dems/GOP is Yankees/Red Sox. There's no appetite among the electorate for compromise anymore. Moderates don't vote anymore.

The people who are incentivized to vote are the ones who are whipped into a frenzy by their party to stave off the next "crisis" that will be started by the other party. Politicians who compromise "lose," and are primaried by the next candidate who is farther to the left or the right, or they survive a primary and lose to a motivated opposition party.

The one thing Trump knows well is television. He knows he's not a prepared speech guy. He also thinks, as do many many Americans, that it's a drag when the President pre-empts prime time shows. I can see him thinking "I wouldn't watch this if it wasn't me."
