None of those you mention should make it.

Like all of the finalists who don't get the call. Shoot, you've done enough to be considered and now you spend a week on talk shows talking about your chances and then spend Saturday afternoon wondering if you'll be going to the NFL Honors or heading to a bar.

McGriff and Walker are hall of famers. Heck, if McGriff would have hit 7 more home runs he would probably be in the HOF.

Always had a soft spot for McGriff given the great seasons he had here in Toronto. To me, Walker is a HOFer.

Walker is a definite HOFer to me, but I wouldn't vote for McGriff. A first baseman who makes the Hall should have monster stats, but he only led the league in five categories in a 19-year career: home runs twice (1989 and 1992), OPS and OPS+ (1989) and games played (1995). His highest MVP finish was 4th -- and he played on 5 playoff teams, so it's not like he didn't have the eyeballs on him.

Dumb and damn disrespectful. His wife doesn't have to justify a damn thing to anyone. It's a stupid hat on a plaque. It's not like the plaque is not going to mention the Phillies at all.

I just checked Doggie's stats and he led the league in a category only once, pacing the Junior Circuit as a member of the Red Sox in 1980 by grounding into 25 double plays.
