Sigh. Let me rephrase.

I'm really comfortable say the majority of, uh, "web editors" at most shops, but especially online-only shops, are millennials. The jobs generally don't pay that well. They include sucky weekend and night hours. They're the kind of jobs held by people in their 20s.

Simultaneously, content and traffic do matter to the suits - who are older and don't appreciate or understand how social media works quite as well. So some of the front-end news judgment - for online traffic - is deferred to these web editors, who, you know, do a good job of finding and generating content that will drive traffic.

 

If I just say words there are people somewhere who believe

 

Sales of cigarettes and espresso will soar.

 

I do think people opposed to everything Trump should adopt a different strategy than pure outrage. I'd go with mockery, laughing at every mistake during the SOTU, using the rebuttal to fact-check the thing. And maybe talk of Trump willing to sign a gun control bill in exchange for not being impeached.

 

Then Team Fucko, along with Very Serious People in the MSM pushing bothsiderism, will kvetch that the opponents are being "unserious."

 

I'd be ok with that. Trump is not a serious President.
