Noticeable that Sarah Sanders is no longer saying no collusion by the Trump campaign/WH. Now it's that Trump did not collude.


Air control shutdowns at LaGuardia, Newark, Philly, and in Florida, and all the people in Congress can't wait to get home. This may end the shutdown all by itself. If I were an ATC with a shift to start later today, I'd get so *very* sick...

I use the word "editor" a little loosely. They're not bosses. They're content collators. At large online and major papers in big cities, these are often relatively entry-level roles. They're typically not paying that well. It's just who tends to land in those jobs. It's not so much "blame" as people actually doing what they're asked to do, doing it too well, in fact, with a lack of discernment.

If there's one thing the Internet has smashed to bits in journalism, it's the idea of discernment. Everything's a story if it gets traffic. Period. End of story. An incident of alleged public racism - which, at the time, was all this was - is not a big story 25 years ago. It's nothing. It's a story today because numbers tell it will be, so it is.
