    Was supposed to be this:

Russia warns US missile defense plans will fuel arms race

Sorry for the transposition. We regret the error.

I really am surprised that Trump isn't at Mar-a-Lago by now. I figured they'd be warming up the engines on Air Force 1 before the ink was dry yesterday.

I don't think - may be wrong and hope I'm not - there will be another shutdown or national emergency in three weeks. Senate Republicans won't let it happen. The whole wall issue will fade behind whatever else comes up in the meantime.

Sanders has many problems he didn't have in 2016. For one, much of his agenda has been adopted by other candidates, notably Warren, who also has more detailed plans than he ever has. 2. He's no longer the new thing he was back then. He hasn't really adapted to the Trump era, still selling the same stuff. 3. Most of all, he won't be running against just one person. Any Democrat who didn't want Hillary in 2016 had no choice but to vote for Bernie. Now there will be at least 10 choices until after Super Tuesday. His share of the vote is bound to sink significantly.

"Partners" is a pretty benign term.

Trade partners. International space station partners. Partners combating terrorism (such as Russia warning the FBI about Boston bomber Tamerian Tsarnaev).

But when you choose to dismiss pretty much everything they say, well, you get . . .

"President calls 'wolf!' Film at 11."

If we're turning away all those people, doesn't it mean the system is working?

How many times is he going to go to this? But, hey, why let the facts get in the say of a good story?

    Not sure it was "dismissed."

Russia Warned U.S. About Tsarnaev, But Spelling Issue Let Him Escape

NBC News has reviewed a copy of the report and copies of documents referenced in the report and constructed a timeline that shows how Russia warned the U.S. and what the U.S. did, and didn’t do, in response.

In March 2011, the FSB, the Russian intelligence agency that arose from the remnants of the KGB, sent a cable to the FBI with its concerns about Tamerlan Tsarnaev and the Tsarnaev family. By then, the Tsarnaevs, a Muslim family of mixed Chechen ancestry, had been living in Massachusetts for almost a decade. Tamerlan, born in 1986, had attended a local high school, married an American and become an amateur boxer. The letter was a page and a quarter long and very detailed. It included contact information, with addresses and phone numbers, for many of the members of the Tsarnaev family, including Tamerlan and his mother. It warned that Tamerlan was known to have associated with violent radical Islamists, including a Canadian Muslim convert named William Plotnikov who was later killed while fighting for the mujahideen in Dagestan.

The FBI responded to the FSB cable by opening an investigation of Tamerlan Tsarnaev in March 2011. The investigation was conducted by members of the Boston Joint Terrorism Task Force, an interagency group that includes federal, state and local law enforcement representatives.

An FBI member of the JTTF interviewed Tsarnaev in person. The FBI did not conduct surveillance of Tsarnaev because the case did not rise to the standard that permits surveillance, according to federal officials.

    also, smaller pictures, thanks

Trump hasn't played golf since before Christmas. In all seriousness, he should fly down to Mar-a-Lago and stay there for a couple weeks doing nothing but hitting the links. The less he's in the public eye, the better his poll numbers. Have the Secret Service "accidentally" run over his phone with a golf cart, snd his approval rating would go up five points by Valentine's Day.
