With LeBron signing for four years, I’m not sure he even has the leverage to force Walton out. It’s not like in Cleveland, when he could bounce if they didn’t meet his every demand.

    Exactly. He's not going anywhere.

My guess is Walton gets a few games once LeBron returns. If they don't win he gets bounced and they promote Brian Shaw as the interim guy for the rest of the season. I have no reason to think Shaw is the answer but Magic's patience will only hold out for so long.

Then they have to nail the coaching hire in the off-season and I have no idea who that is. The biggest unemployed names right now are Thibs and Ty Lue, and I don't see them hiring either one.

If Le Bron doesn’t like the coach, Le Bron’s injury will not improve. He might have to take some more time off. If Magic doesn’t like it he can take it up with Mr. Carter, the de facto GM.
Dave Blatt has a better winning percentage than Lue, but Blatt thought he was head coach. Lue knew his place, and kept his job. Le Bron isn’t interested in being coached or having someone run his team. Walton? Too interested in coaching and not interested enough in being Le Bron’s foil and media stand in. Mark Jackson or Dwayne Wade will coach the Lakers next season

Congrats. Every single line in this is stupid and wrong. That's not easy.

Well, David Blatt did have a better winning percentage than Tyronn Lue.

    Yeah, fair enough.

And they replaced Blatt with Lue and promptly won the title.

Really? What leverage does Magic have over LeBron ? LeBron has been to 8 straight Finals, did magic accomplish that? Walton? Why should LeBron accept coaching from him if LeBron thinks the scheme doesn’t suit him?
Wade not the next coach starting next season? Wait for it. He’s a HOFer who won multiple rings. Ty Lue is a HOF coach or a guy who was paid to be a beard

And Lue had a worse winning pct to finish out the season than Blatt did to start the season.

    And won the title.

Look man, I get it. You do this same ignorant shit every single time. LeBron is the anti-Semitic devil because the Cavs fired David Blatt, a coach so wonderful he can't even get an interview with any other NBA team. LeBron is terrible. WE GET IT.

Fuck, man. Why do you post so often about a sport you don't follow and know nothing about?

And you think Magic is scared of LeBron? You think Magic is intimidated by 8 finals appearances? Magic won the championship five times. He was the Finals MVP three times. Magic does not give a single fuck what LeBron or Maverick Carter think.

    Dwyane Wade. Jesus Christ.

When Joe McCarthy, who won seven World Series with the Yankees, took over the Red Sox in 1948 he was asked about getting along with Ted Williams. McCarthy said if he could not get a long with a .400 hitter it would be his fault.

That is the way it is in professional sports. A coach/manager is beneath a superstar in the hierarchy. The reason is that it is much easier to find a coach with the accomplishments of Luke Walton than LeBron James. So a coach better figure out how to get along with a superstar.

So if LeBron's agent comes in and asks for Walton's head Mgic will give it to him. Just as Paul Westhead was fired when Magic ibecame unhappy with the coach.
