It isn’t what it used to be before it merged with Sporting News a few years ago but there’s still no better sign spring is coming soon

 

Chicks may dig the long ball, but I'd be really intrigued if MLB did something like this on All-Star Weekend.

Spring training starts in two weeks and the two biggest free agents - two of the best players in the game - still haven't signed. I know they'll be in shape regardless, but I would think the team that signs them would want to start selling some tickets. I do wonder, do most teams do "dynamic pricing" now, so the ticket prices can change depending on demand at any point?

 

That looks incredibly boring. Nobody ever stopped to watch guys playing pepper. Fans show up to the ballpark hours early to watch BP.

 

Seconded. Look at the NBA, where the 3-point crown on All-Star Saturday is as coveted as the slam dunk title. But homer after homer after homer? I can head out to the local slow-pitch complex and see that.
