I misspoke. I Was talking about the Knicks own pick, and didn't realize how far into the future the 2 Dallas picks are.

Seconded on the Dolans. Sometimes the bright lights and MSG aren't enough. That's why I think KD doesn't join the Knicks.

I think the Knicks did what they needed to do. Either they tank, maybe win the lottery and they don't have enough to get one max guy. So would Porzingis, Zion, Kevin Knox and half the point guards drafted in the 2015 and 2016 lottery be a playoff team? Maybe. Or they roll the dice completely with this crazy free agent class and hope they can get one of the top two picks in the lottery and build around that.

Part of me feels like Scott Perry/James Dolan thinks he's got at least Kyrie OR Durant in the bag already but even if they don't. It's probably worth the gamble.

I like Porzingis a lot but he hasn't played in a year and I'm skeptical his career is going to last much past 30.

I agree with this. He strikes me as likely to have a Yao-like career.

I think Kyrie would be nuts to leave Boston for the Knicks, but I'm not about to try to get in Kyrie's head and figure out what he'll do. His head's a strange place.

Largely the same is true for KD.

It bugged me that the SI NBA preview issue pretty much wrote the season off already looking forward to this summer.

did anyone expect anything else from a person with pervasive developmental disorder?

can you imagine the attempted conversations between Kyrie and JR Smith. ITs like a pumpkin head talking to a door knob
